Questions we get a lot

Springboro is in Warren County. Do you still come out?

We do. Springboro sits at the southern edge of our area and it is a regular run. Warren County addresses get the same same-week scheduling as Montgomery and Greene.

Do gas logs need annual service?

Yes, and it is the single most-skipped service we see in newer Springboro homes. Pilot assemblies clog, logs shift out of position and cause sooting, and the vent still needs checking. A gas fireplace that looks clean can still vent badly.

What is the difference between a masonry and a prefabricated fireplace?

A masonry fireplace is built on site from brick with a clay or stainless flue. A prefab is a manufactured metal firebox with a listed metal chimney, installed as a unit. They fail differently and take completely different parts, so identifying yours is the first thing we do.

Our fireplace is the centerpiece of the room. Will service make a mess?

No. We seal the opening, run a HEPA vacuum the whole time, and lay drop cloths over the hearth and floor. The point is that the only evidence we were there is a cleaner chimney.

Get your chimney ready before you light the first fire.
