Do you come out to Sugarcreek Township and the rural addresses?
Yes. Bellbrook proper and the surrounding township are both in our regular route. The longer driveways are not a problem; we just need to know if access is tight for the truck.
What is different about an old village home versus a newer build here?
The historic homes near the village usually have masonry flues that need liner and crown work. The newer houses on the larger lots are mostly prefab or gas and need annual service and the right cap. Same inspection, different findings.
We only use the fireplace a few times a year. Do we still need a sweep?
You still need the inspection. Light use means less creosote, but caps, crowns, flashing, and animal entry do not care how often you light a fire. Many of the worst blockages we find are in fireplaces nobody uses.
